Pelumi Fatayo
he/him Board MemberMy name is Pelumi I am 23 years old and a recent masters graduate of Computer Science. My journey with Contact started directly as a participant on Future Fires. This was along with Samuel, who I cofounded Creation Foundation with, we make socially conscious content. This was builder through Future Fires and we make visual and audio content.
Advocating for young people is a passion of mine and is something that I do through Youth Social Action, which is all about making sure Young people are at the heart of the decisions that are about them. I’ve been on the Youth Stirring Committee for Beatfreeks, which taught me all about governance and the charity sector. Being on the NHS Youth Forum I was able to be a part of a project that was all about changing the medical curriculum to being more culturally inclusive amongst other projects. And I’m also an #iwill ambassador which is all about working on different projects that really benefit young people’s growth economically, politically and socially.
I am someone who likes to have fun and create. I writes poems and songs. And I’m really excited about being on the board of trustees at Contact.
