Fisayo Akinade

he/him Contact Patron

Fisayo Akinade (He/him) is a Royal Central School of Speech and Drama-trained actor best known for his role as Dean Monroe in the Russell T Davies drama Cucumber and offshoots Banana and Tofu and for the Netflix show Heartstopper. He’s been aware of Contact from an early age having attended drop-in drama workshops and later joining Contact Young Company in 2006

“Contact Theatre has been instrumental in the career I have today. It provided a space where young people could develop and hone their skills in acting, writing, directing, poetry, and dance. A place where you meet with people from all walks of life hear stories and try and fail without judgement. Contact has helped develop the careers of a multitude of brilliant artists. I am honoured to be a patron of this essential institution.”
