About Third Space

Step inside the neurodiverse multiverse with Contact Young Company.

Third Space is a brand new piece of work created by an entirely neurodiverse company, specifically for a neurodiverse audience.

We’re still working it out so we’re not making any promises – but what we can tell you is to expect movement, magic, masking, unmasking and a celebration of those who see life through a different lens.

…and whatever you do, don’t expect the expected.

Content and Access Information

We know that an ideal experience will differ for all neurodivergent people, so we want to be as specific as possible about what to expect. Third Space is still in development, but we will add any additional information as soon as we have it available. Please do reach out to boxoffice@contactmcr.com if you have any questions. or concerns.

What we do know is:

  • There will be strong language, haze and bubbles.
  • There will be stage lighting but the lighting will be soft.
  • There will be music, there may be some shouting, and we may want to use confetti cannons, which can make a loud bang. There won’t be any prolonged, very loud sounds.
  • There will be some audience interaction but the audience will be asked to volunteer to take part, no one will be picked on.
  • Everyone will be invited onto the stage to watch part of the performance, but you won’t be asked to do anything but watch
  • Intense scenes including demons
  • A scene where an autistic person becomes overwhelmed when questioned by police
  • Characters discussing their mental health and anxieties
