A Note from Junior Akinola, Chair of the Board 2020 - 2023, Upon His Departure
"Coming to the end of my first term, the time has come for a new chapter in my professional career and personal life.
I’m thankful for the incredible achievements during my time which include hiring our brilliant Artistic Director/CEO Keisha Thompson, attracting investment to Contact and hiring board members and working alongside them to create fruitful networks for Contact.
Being in such a senior leadership role, I appreciate all the skills I’ve been fortunate to further develop at my time in the role and I’m incredibly grateful for the personal growth and all the support I’ve received from all the staff and my mentors during this time.
I only see more great things on the horizon for Contact. It will be great to experience this along with the rest of the community who love what the building does for the UK’s creative ecosystem.
I’ll be on hand to help with the recruitment of the next chair and wish everyone at Contact the best for the future.
