Today we announce the appointment of Jack Dale-Dowd as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Contact, following a thorough recruitment process in Autumn 2024. Jack, who has been an integral part of the Contact family for over 10 years, most recently as Interim Executive Director, brings a deep passion for our mission and a strong vision for the future. His leadership, alongside a committed and passionate team, will be key as we step into the next chapter of Contact’s story.
Jack Dale-Dowd said: “The work that Contact does to champion young people, artists and communities is vital to the local and national ecosystem. I’m thrilled to continue leading Contact and excited to start work planning for the organisations long-term future with all our staff, board, young people, partners, and communities.”
With the appointment of Jack, the organisation can now put new energy into championing the voices and work of young people. While recent challenges have impacted our sector, we are embracing this moment as a springboard for renewal. Our commitment to young people and artists remains, and being led by our values will ensure that the impact of our work will continue to resonate for generations to come.
Our Board of Trustees said: “Contact has always been a place of transformation for young people and artists, and we are incredibly excited to see how Jack’s leadership will guide us into the next era. As we look ahead, we are committed to putting young people at the heart of everything we do and amplifying the voices of our communities.”
This year, as we take the time to plan thoughtfully, we are laying the foundation for a future that reflects our values, ambitions, and the incredible potential of the next generation of creative voices. Thank you to everyone who has supported Contact since 1972. With Jack at the helm, we are energised and ready to create a future that is rooted in our history. Continuing to inspire, challenge, and create lasting change in the next 50 years and beyond.
