About Maybe make me out
"I knew, since yesterday, something was going to happen. Or had already happened?"
Waking up, with a distinct sense that you have changed, that you are not the person you thought you were. That this body is not your body, this mind not your mind. Making contact; parsing, pulling apart the lines that brought you to where you are. Making it out – making it through. This new work explores problems of identity, language, connection and revelation, and what it means to discover what you really are.
Manchester Contemporary Youth Opera presents Maybe make me out, a short opera that has emerged from the 2026 Collaborative Opera Lab. MCYO supports young and emerging artists to create and stage new opera.
