At Our Outdoor Performances

Over summer 2021, we’ll be holding a number of outdoor performances around Manchester. Some of these will include social distancing measures, so we’ve listed a couple of things that you’ll need to know.

What we’re doing to help keep you safe

  • We’re making sure that all of our events are in line with Government restrictions and advice. While social distancing remains in place, you will only be able to book tickets for up to six people (who are in your household or bubble.)
  • In line with government requirements, you will be asked to scan a QR code to check-in using the NHS COVID-19 app. If you are unable to download the app, we will ask you fill out a form on arrival.
  • We will have hand sanitising stations on hand at entrances and exits.
  • We are issuing e-tickets rather than sending physical tickets to you. You can either print at home or show us on your phone, so that we can use contactless scanners on entry.
  • We’ve reduced capacity at events to make sure that you can stay socially distanced.

What we’re asking you to do

  • Please do wear a face covering at all times at our performances. If you do not have a face covering when you arrive, our staff will give you a face mask and ask that you wear it. If you are exempt from wearing a face covering, please do let us know.
  • If you have Covid-19 symptoms, have had a recent positive Covid-19 test or you have been told to self-isolate, please do not attend our event. You can get in touch with our box office team to arrange a refund by emailing boxoffice@contactmcr.com or by calling us on 0161 274 0600 (Mon-Fri, 10am-5pm).
  • Please do keep physically distanced from other groups/bubbles at performances. Our team will show you where to go and be hand to answer any questions.
  • Please do let us know the details of everyone in your party, and try to arrive together if at all possible.
  • If you are planning to attend in a bubble (of up to six people) please book all of your group’s tickets together, so that we can assign you a space together in the venue.
  • Please arrive in plenty of time (at least 30 minutes) before the event starts, so that we have time to scan your ticket and show you and your bubble to your assigned place.

Visiting Contact in person

Though we aren’t open yet for public performances, we are welcoming participants and pre-booked groups/hires to our building. We have measures in place around our building to hep to keep you safe. We will send these out to you before you arrive.

What we’re doing to help keep you safe

  • We’re minimising the number of people in the building, so we’ll give you a scheduled arrival time. Some rooms and spaces in Contact have limits on the number of people allowed in, so that you can still socially distance.
  • Our staff team will be on hand when you arrive to show you where you need to go.
  • We are cleaning each space in between sessions
  • We have hand sanitiser stations throughout the building.
  • We’ll be sending all documents and other details via email, so that you don’t have to collect physical copies.

What we’re asking you to do

  • Please wear a face covering at all times in public areas of the building. Our staff will let you know if/when you are allowed to remove it.
  • Please do fill out either our track and trace form, or use the NHS COVID-19 app on arrival.
  • Please try to stay in the parts of the building where your session is taking place.
  • If you have Covid-19 symptoms, have had a recent positive Covid-19 test or you have been told to self-isolate, please do not come to our building, and let us know.
