A double bill of new works in development from Mark Croasdale + Avital Raz.
Staying In by Mark Croasdale
“Young, gay, fabulous — it’s all about being out and going out… isn’t it?”
Fueled by internalised homophobia and beset by social anxiety, Mark agonises over the ‘correct’ way to be a ‘good gay’, to be himself, and to connect with others. All he wants to do is invite you out… for a good night in.
My Jerusalem by Avital Raz
A solo performance derived from a song. A politically charged tale of a drunken one night stand, infused with stories of growing up in the turmoil of 80s Israel. A nuanced exploration of the politics of division, from internal checkpoints and separation walls to gender norms.
Can we go beyond the blame game to really see each other?
This event is Pay What You Decide (cash only) in person after the event, but we encourage you to book in advance to avoid disappointment. Online booking will be available until 5pm the day of the performance. In person booking will be available at STUN Studio from 6:30pm before each performance.
PLEASE NOTE: both works contain adult themes, the content of which may cause distress — please speak to a member of Word of Warning or Contact front of house staff before the event if you have any concerns.
