Our new AD/CEO Keisha invites you to rejoice in her new reign at the castle with a night of Carnival, Cocktails & Cinquains and celebrations into the early hours with DJ sets from Mr Scruff and DJ Sequinella
For this very special night of celebration, the party will continue after Cocktails and Cinquains with sets from Mr Scruff and DJ Sequinella taking us all the way up to 2.30am.
As a DJ, Andy Carthy aka Mr. Scruff plays across the board, flitting between soul, funk, hip hop, jazz, reggae, latin, african, ska, disco, house, funk, breaks, soundtracks and loads more. As a producer he makes music that draws on these influences, with a large dose of cheek and good humour. His cartoon drawings illustrate gig flyers, record sleeves and CD covers, and usually accompany him at gigs as live animated visuals. Learn more here.
Black Swan Lane and The Chameleons member MC Kwasi has worked with more artists and DJs than you could imagine. Possibly most famous as Mr Scruff’s right wing man, the loveable MC was the host of the seminal Friends & Family events and has been featured on tracks with the likes of Suns Of Arqa, The Messengers, Mark Rae, DJ Vadim and Beatphreak. Lesser known fact, Kwasi is also credited with writing material in his other guises of Rasta Rock and King. Learn more here.
DJ Sequinella is a female DJ from Manchester playing the best in unique mash-ups of Soca/Afro-house, DnB, deep house, Brazillian House and Moombahton. Follow, enjoy, dance and learn more here.
