As an Artsmark partner and Arts Award Supporter, Contact supports schools, colleges and youth organisations to complete their Artsmark and Arts Award journeys at every level.
What is Artsmark?
Artsmark is the creative quality standard for schools and education settings, awarded by Arts Council England, recognising their commitment to high quality arts and cultural education.
Contact is proud to be supporting schools and education settings on their Artsmark journey, inspiring children and young people to create, experience, and participate in great arts and culture.
Every young person should have the opportunity to be creative, and to experience and participate in arts and culture.
- Build young people’s confidence, character and resilience through creativity
- Support the health and wellbeing of pupils through arts and culture
- Strengthen pupil voice and develop young people’s leadership skills through Artsmark
What is Arts Award?
Arts Award is a nationally recognised qualification that supports young people up to the age of 25 to develop as artists and arts leaders. Contact delivers Arts Award at all five levels. As part of Arts Award Discover, Explore and Bronze, you will take part in different arts activities, find out about artists and arts organisations, experience arts events, share your arts skills and put together a portfolio. For Silver and Gold, you will also set yourself arts challenges, organise your own project and research arts careers.
