Contact and Sustained Theatre Up North (STUN) are launching a ‘making’ commission for BAME artists or BAME-led companies who are currently based in the North West of England who want to make performance work.
What we’re looking for:
This commission seeks to support an artist or company that uses grime music to connect with audiences.
Ideally working towards a studio-scale show to present in Autumn 2020/Spring 2021, this piece should have a story at its heart and something to say about the world we live in.
The successful applicant will receive dramaturgical support from Matt Fenton (Artistic Director, Contact) and Keisha Thompson (Young Peoples’ Producer, Contact; touring artist)
Eligibility:
- These commissions are designed to support Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic artists to develop their practice and build new relationships with commissioning venues.
Therefore, we are only able to consider applications from artists who identify as BAME or BAME-led companies.
If you are unsure whether to apply, please contact us to discuss before developing your application - Applicants must be based in the North West of England
- Applicants must be able to attend an interview on 14th November 2019.
Application Details:
The deadline for all applications is Friday 15th November 2019 and applications must be submitted by 5pm. We are unable to consider any applications received after the deadline has passed.
