A fully inclusive family show in a new, Covid friendly format, Forest of Forgotten Discos! returns Friday 4 – Saturday 5 December and brings the fun right into your homes.

Forest of Forgotten Discos! premiered at Hope Mill Theatre in 2018 as part of Contact’s In the City season. Here’s what folk had to say about it:

‘Energetic and Inclusive’ – The Stage

‘An alternative Christmas family show filled with glitter balls, spandex and adventure’ – Manchester Evening News

What happens in this new version?

In this new, digital edition of the hit show for ages 4+, the three bears, Red and  Alexa (a digital assistant from the Amazon jungle) will be beaming straight to your screens with a zoom-based dance party.

They’ll be showing off the best moves in the forest – and getting you to show off your own! Selected families will be invited to be part of the ‘Zoom Room’ and will get to feature as part of the performance.

Audiences will also get videos in advance. Forest’s cast of characters will show you how to make your very own set of bear ears, a bear den, a DIY disco ball and how to sing and sign the Forest song.

Forest of Forgotten Discos! is an inclusive show. It is accessible to deaf users through the use of live BSL interpretation, and captioning. It is accessible to blind and visually impaired people through the integration of audio description

When is Forest of Forgotten Discos! happening?

There will be a schools performance at 1pm on Friday 4 December. Performances for the public are at 11am and 2.30pm on Saturday 5 December.

Tickets are £10 per family, with a discount available for key workers and NHS staff. The show will be on sale from the end of October.
