We’re very happy to announce that Contact was successful in our application for continued funding as an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation 2018-22, enabling us to continue our work inspiring audiences, artists and the next generation of young people in Manchester and beyond

About Contact

Contact is where young people change their lives through the arts. We are a leading national theatre and arts venue placing young people at the heart of everything. At Contact, young people aged 13-30 genuinely lead, working alongside staff in deciding the artistic programme, making staff appointments and act as full Board members. The result is an outstanding, diverse and accessible artistic programme for everyone.

Based in our unique creative building in Manchester, we work locally, nationally, and internationally to provide life-changing opportunities for the next generation of artists, creative leaders and audiences. Recent awards include the Greater Manchester Business Awards Customer Service Excellence award, TMA/UK Theatre Award for Promotion of Diversity, the Co-Op Respect Inclusive Venue of the Year, and the NWBLT Lever Prize for business and the arts.
