De Opsluiting/Lockdown is a performance project for artists aged between 16 and 30 years old, organised by Fameus, in cooperation with OPENDOEK and the museum of Antwerp.
We are looking for artists aged between 16 and 30 take part in an exciting and unique project in Antwerp, Belgium this August.
Four groups of 10 people will be staying in 4 different museums for 24 hours. During their stay the participants will create a short performance with their team, along side their artistic coach. After 24 hours the participants show their performance in the museum during ‘Museumnacht’, a night in Antwerp.
You will arrive in Antwerp on the Thursday 1 August. You will be locked up in a museum from the evening of Friday 2 August until the following evening.
The performance in the museum will take place on the Friday 3 August during The Night of the Antwerp Museau.
On Sunday 4 August you will head back to Manchester.
Want to take part?
To take part in this project, participants will need to;
- be available on 1, 2, 3 and 4 August 2019
- be aged 16 –30 (permission from parents or guardian must be provided for any artist under 18)
- provide their own sleeping bag and air mattress if possible
- give permission to be followed by a small group of reporters for social media
- have a valid passport
What can you expect from us?
All travel expenses, professional coaching, food and drinks will be provided by Contact, Fameus and OPENDOEK.
