Contact is looking for an experienced producer to develop health and science related performance.

Salary: £24-28,000 per annum (based on experience)
Hours: Full time – 40 hours per week
Contract: Fixed term (3 years)

Contact is a leading national contemporary theatre and arts organisation based in Manchester, with young people at the heart of everything we do. We work locally, nationally and internationally to provide life-changing opportunities for the next generation of creative leaders, artists and audiences, redefining theatre in the process. We produce and present a professional programme of outstanding performances, events and festivals in our building, surprising places and virtual spaces, for a young and highly diverse audience.

This is an exciting time for Contact, with a £6.5m capital re-development under way which will secure the future of Contact’s vital work with young people across Greater Manchester for the next 20 years.

Working alongside the Head of Creative Development and Artistic Director you will be responsible for continuing to grow Contact’s body of health and science related performances, supporting Contact-produced and commissioned artists to create dynamic, risk-taking and high quality new work in collaboration with scientists, health researchers, academics, patient groups and young people for presentation at a local, national and international level.

You will have demonstrable producing experience of artists at a range of career stages as well as experience of working creatively within health and science contexts.
