The Facilities Assistant will work with the Facilities Manager and Facilities Technician to deliver the Facilities support to the building.

About the role

We are Contact – a theatre and performing arts venue on Manchester’s Oxford Road.  We create and produce our own shows, host tours from some of the best theatre companies in the world and develop the next generation of artists, performers and community leaders.

The Facilities Assistant will work with the Facilities Manager and Facilities Technician to deliver the Facilities support to the building. The assistant will be mentored to develop skills in basic electrical, plumbing, compliance, porterage, repair and building maintenance including decoration and grounds maintenance.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a valid UK driving license, be happy to drive on occasion, and have basic computer skills, such as using Microsoft Office. They should have good communication and numeracy skills. An interest in an operational, technically hands-on role is key.

Job Title: Kickstart Facilities Assistant x2

Salary:  £8.91 per hour (upper rate national minimum wage)

Hours: 25 hours per week

Contract: 6-month fixed term
