THEATREA World Premiere
A Quarantine, HOME and Contact co-production, supported by SICK! Festival.
Directed by Richard Gregory.
Summer. Autumn. Winter. Spring. is a piece of mass portraiture, epic in scale, in ambition and in subject. It deals with the human life cycle and our relationship with time – from birth to death, from considering this very moment, to looking at history and towards the future.
Comprising 3 live performances and Quarantine’s first film, Summer. Autumn. Winter. Spring. can be seen as individual performances (Summer. Winter. and Spring.) or alongside Autumn. in a day-long event, featuring over 60 performers – “real people” in place of actors.
'Tonight and tomorrow the show will be different. Because that's how life is….' ★★★★ Lyn Gardner, The Guardian on Summer.
'What Richard Gregory and his company do is show that mankind is constantly reaching for something beyond its power.' NRC Handelsblad (Netherlands daily, on Quarantine’s Entitled)
'It just reminds us, in the most potent way possible, that behind every face we pass in the street there beats a life of infinite complexity. In other words, it makes us see others afresh, with a new intensity, humanity and respect; and you can’t ask much more from theatre than that.' The Scotsman (on Quarantine’s first piece, See-saw)
'The whole thing might be the bastard offspring of the Wooster Group crossed with the Osbournes – radical reality theatre.' The Times (on Quarantine’s Butterfly)
Please note: This performance takes place at Old Granada Studios, St. John’s, Manchester, M3 4AN (Entrance via Lower Byrom Street).
Both Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd April performances are now off-sale. Contact Sales Team will be onsite for ticket collection at Old Granada Studios on the day from 1pm onwards.
